Welcome Back!!!!
Aww the warm days of summer!
Hello everyone, it’s Cathy Coleman coming to you on this warm August day in Ontario. I hope this newsletter finds you all well and enjoying the warmer weather this time of year. I know it’s been a while since you have heard from me so I wanted to send out a note to everyone apologizing for my absence over the last year, because wow, has it been an adventure. We experienced everything from buying a cottage (and renovating it) to moving 1800 kms away from home, to having surgery and getting through a severe injury to my 85-year-old mom… to say the least it has been an experience. Good news though, all is great now and my mom is well on her way to a full recovery!
Let me tell ya though, as an Emotional Fitness Coach, I have absolutely had to put some of my best tools into practice; I’m just so grateful I had them!
Now that things have finally settled down, I wanted to get back to visiting your inbox on a monthly basis with some tools, tips and other information that may help you to build a strong "Emotional Fitness" tool box too. These tools can absolutely assist you in walking through those challenging times like the ones I have just been through.
Since last we spoke, I have been working diligently on updating my resilience course offering and am in the midst of a brand-new exciting format. I’ll share more on that as I get closer to completion. I also completed a 6-week Instructional Design course to enhance my course building skill set; it was a ton of fun.
Lastly, wanted to reach out because I have been having some really good dialogue with folks about tools for Conflict Management and some have asked if I would consider building a small learning session around this topic that we could do virtually. Well, the answer is a resounding yes!
If this is a topic that interests you and you would like more information, please respond to this email; if there’s interest, I will send some further information to those folks. Remember conflict can be mild or severe, it can exist at home or work and it can completely send you sideways. If you struggle with being in this situation, this may be just what you are looking for!
As a starting point, did you know that if someone is trying to upset, intimidate, annoy or draw you in that you actually don’t have to participate. It’s a simple strategy that we don’t often think of; it will annoy the heck out of them and allow you to keep your world balanced!
For now, I will bid you adieu and wish you a wonderful, conflict free month ahead.
