Shmappy Shmuesday Shmand Shmelcome Shmo 2022…
Ha, as you read this you probably think I have lost my mind!
Well, I haven’t. Instead, I've decided that sometimes the world we live in is just a little too serious! And the great news, I get to control both my attitude and my effort. Even better news, so do you!
The little typo above is something my daughter taught me a few months back. Things were feeling serious and she just started talking with shm at the start of every word. Well, did we laugh. You have to try it; it will flip your mood, make you smile, and make others wonder what you’re up to.
As you get started on this new year, remember it could be worse. Shmore shminstance, I started it off with a colonoscopy. So for me, it can only get better from here!
Truly though, you never really know what’s coming around the next turn. And speaking of the next turn, you have to remember who is in the driver’s seat. And by the way… it’s you!
So as you drive into this month, try to keep in mind what you control... your actions, your words, your love, and most definitely your attitude.
At the start of the new year, it’s always fun to shmook shmack to evaluate what you’ve done. Here are a few questions for you to ponder as you leave 2021 behind. It’s a great way to celebrate, acknowledge and even make changes for moving forward.
1. What were your 3 most important accomplishments in 2021? It’s not earth-shattering stuff, just what matters to you!
2. List 3 ways your life is blessed. Gratitude is a wonderful teacher!
3. Can you think of 2 things you regret not doing? No time like the present, so get at it!
And now the big one…
4. As you enter 2022, what is the one thing you want to make sure you do in this year? Having this priority in mind can completely change your purpose and therefore your attitude and effort.
As we take the next turn on this roller coaster, be safe, take time for yourself and find ways to be light-hearted. It will do wonders for you and those around you!
Shmee shmou shmext shmonth!
